Clive Hodson is the General Manager of Shock Music Publishing and responsible for operations of the company globally. Shock is one of Australia’s largest independent publishing companies and is a part of the Shock Entertainment Group. Shock Music Publishing represents over 300,000 international copyrights with in excess of 4000 Australian works across all genres.
Prior to Shock, Clive was a writer/performer starting his playing and music business careers in Perth. He has held senior management positions within the Australian Music Industry – GM, A&R & Marketing - PolyGram /Universal (20 yrs) & Head of ABC Music – Australian Broadcasting Corporation (5 yrs). Clive has represented independent labels on both PPCA & AIR Boards and is currently a Board Director of AMCOS and a publisher member of both APRA & AMPAL.
Eloise Nolan has been Head of ABC Music Publishing since 1996 with over 28 years in the broader Australian music industry. ABC Music Publishing is a full music publishing business which represents an expanding roster of Australian songwriters and composers across a number of diverse genres. The company also specialises in music commissioning and screen music rights. A strong advocate for Australian music and increased local music content, Eloise is a Board member of AMPAL and Associate Member of the Australian Graduate School of Management. Eloise has also accepted, on behalf of ABC Music Publishing, the CMAA Award for Publishing Company of the Year for six consecutive years.
David Vodicka is the principal of entertainment law firm Media Arts Lawyers and has had extensive experience with almost 20 years practice representing musicians, artists, performers, composers, recording, production, management and publishing entities. He has dealt in all facets of law affecting the creative industries, and has had considerable hands on experience in the music recording and publishing fields as director of independent label Rubber Records and music publisher Rubber Music Publishing. He is a passionate advocate for local music and creative industries and presently is chairman of the board of AIR (the Australian Independent Record labels association), Vice President of WIN (Worldwide Independent Network), a current board member of MIFF (Melbourne International Film Festival) and ARIA (Australia Recording Industry Association) and is a past board member of the PPCA (Phonographic Performance Company of Australia).

Millie has been involved in the Australian Music Industry for well over
a decade. Predominately in the live arena, she has been engaged as the
venue booker for The Hopetoun and Annandale Hotels, the Entertainment
Manager at Macquarie University Union and undertaken a number of
positions for various Festivals (Homebake, Big Day Out, Livid, Cockatoo
Island, Legs 11, Equinox and Summersault).
Millie has been appointed to the newly created position – Producer Music Export Services for APRA|AMCOS. The role, a joint initiative with the Australia Council for the Arts, will largely involve co-ordinating the Australian music industry's representation at key music markets for the purpose of promoting Australian musical repertoire to the world, such as SXSW, The Great Escape, Midem, CMJ, Canadian Music Week.
Previously, Millie was employed as the Creative Director for MusicNSW in which she was responsible for the Association’s key projects, including:

AIR's Acting General Manager, Nick O'Byrne brings to the organisation years of experience on the ground a musician, music educator, blogger and band manager. Nick embodies the multi-genre focus of AIR having studied and performed as a classical musician before stepping into Melbourne's Jazz scene. Since moving into the into business side of the industry, Nick has managed The AIR Awards (Australia's independent music awards), The AIR Charts (Independent music charts), Worldwide Independents Day as well as co-ordinating John Butler's Arts Grants Scheme 'The JB Seed' and working as part of The John Butler Trio's management team.
Julian Hewitt is a Solicitor who has been signed as an artist to major labels and independents and has an extensive background in touring, publishing, recording and remixing bands. Aside from his extensive music law practise Julian has a strong entertainment and commercial law background and has written national franchise agreements, represented high-profile Australian fashion designers and television personalities, established public charities and advised on major funding projects and litigations for listed public companies. Julian has a post-graduate degree in corporate finance and he is a volunteer Solicitor at the Fitzroy Legal Service.

Coordinator at Amrap she looks after the marketing, promotion and feedback
associated with Amrap, amongst other things.
Amrap is a federally funded initiative that aims to get great Australian music national airplay faster, through community radio. Amrap’s primary function is to distribute and promote new Australian releases to community radio. Community radio is the breeding ground for new Australian artists and when used effectively, is one of the key tools to build artist recognition and a fan base
Peter Noble is the festival director for Australia’s BLUESFEST held every Easter in Byron Bay’s tranquil beachside community. A highly awarded and much loved international event, “Bluesfest” began in 1990. This year Bluesfest commemorated its 20th anniversary with a huge celebration. The 2009 Festival was the most successful Bluesfest of recent years, with approximately 85,000 fans from a total of 25 countries and states & territories of Australia walking through the entry gates, over the five days across the Easter weekend.
Of course, there’s more to Peter Noble than Bluesfest. When not booking tours and festival line-ups, Peter runs Aim Records, the label he owns and founded in 1981. In a major historical development in February 2008, Aim became the first ever Australian independent label (non-major affiliated) to win a Grammy Award!
Iain Shedden is music writer and critic for The Australian and The Weekend Australian newspapers. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his coverage of all aspects of the music industry. As well as being a reviewer of concerts and new music across many genres, he has also interviewed some of the biggest names in popular music during his 12 years at The Australian as well as providing profiles, commentary and a weekly column for The Weekend Australian and editing that paper's music section. Shedden is a trained journalist, but also spent many years as a professional drummer, most notably with Australian rock band the Saints during the 1980s, and still performs and records with a number of Australian artists as his writing commitments allow.

Stephanie practically grew up in the venue her father was musical director of, and has been a passionate music enthusiast ever since. She has worked with digital media for over a decade, and was part of the ABC’s original broadband team producing media rich content for Fly TV, ABC Kids, and Rage, and helped to define and implement the ABC’s digital rights management policies with ARIA, AMCOS and APRA. In recent times Stephanie has specialised in user generated content for ABC TV, most recently as cross-platform producer of Q&A. Stephanie loves her new role as champion for triple j Unearthed and gets a constant thrill in discovering and supporting new, independent Australian music.
Kirsty is the National Writer Services Manager for APRA I AMCOS. APRA represents over 55,000 songwriters, composers and publishers for the public performance of copyright music and on behalf of AMCOS members the reproduction right. She is the Vice chair of Victorian youth organisation The Push and curriculum advisor to several educational bodies. You will find her occassionaly out sampling local bands and often re-filing her ipod in thematic order.
Angela Beal is the Head of Production at XYZnetworks’ music channels. Her role involves conceptualizing, developing and commissioning television productions for three national subscription tv networks – Channel [V], Max and the Country Music Channel. She also oversees the onair talent for the channels. Prior to XYZ, Angela spent time in subscription tv in London with BSKYB and also was a print and tv journalist.
Glenn Dickie is the A&R Manager for EMI Music Australia as well as being the Co-Founder of The Aussie BBQ, the biggest showcase of Australian Live music outside of Australia. He started his musical journey in the 70's hitting the pots and pans in his mum's kitchen at about 2 years old. In the 80's he destroyed his dad's stereo trying to scratch Queens JAZZ album, was part of the Glen Waverley Breakers and discovered Iron Maiden and ACDC. In the 90's he played drums in multiple grunge punk bands and continued a love of hard rock and hip hop. In the late 90's he started at Melbourne community radio station Three Triple R where he stayed for 12 years doing a show called Best of the Brat. He worked at HMV before starting at EMI in 2000 working through sales, promo, marketing and A&R departments. In 2003 he
helped form The Aussie BBQ at South by Southwest which is now one of the premier events on the SXSW program. He's currently living in Sydney as A&R manager and would like a dog and is hoping to find the next big thing. His favourite music is currently The Beastie Boys, ACDC, The Beatles, Run DMC, Nick Cave, You Am I and Midnight Juggernauts, The Drones and Eddy Current Suppression Ring
