Aus Co Grants to help your music

The latest round of Australia Council Grants are open and there are some excellent opportunities to gain funding to support your musical endeavours. 

The following highlight some of the grants that can be used for music initiatives

  • Development Grants for Individuals and Groups - $5,000 - $25,000 Development grants fund a range of activities that benefit the careers of individual artists or groups. Examples of the activity this grant supports include professional skills development, showcase opportunities, forum/workshop attendance, residencies, mentorships, arts market attendance and exploration.
  • Arts Projects for Individuals and Groups - $10,000 - $50,000 Arts projects program funds a range of activities that deliver benefits to the arts sector and wider public, including national and international audiences. Examples of activities this grant supports include the creation of new work, creative development, touring, festivals, productions, exhibitions, publishing, recording and market development activity.
  • Playing Australia: Regional Performing Arts Touring Fund This grant supports performing arts to reach regional and remote communities across Australia. Grants are available to support the net touring costs associated with a national tour. There is no limit on the amount that can be requested.
  • Contemporary Music Touring Program - Up to $15,000 Supports national touring activity undertaken by Australian musicians performing original contemporary music. It provides travel support of up to $15,000 for artists and their manager for tours in Australia that include performances in regional and remote areas.
