MusicNT is calling for Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from Indigenous women with a range of industry skills and experience to apply for membership on a new Industry Reference Group. The Reference Group will assist us in planning, coordinating, operating and evaluating our Indigenous Women’s Music Program (IWMP) and the overall Development Plan that guides our work in this area. Please refer to the attached Terms of Reference for the Reference Group, a copy of our current Women’s Music Plan and a link to MusicNT’s overall Strategic Plan or download these from our website.

There’s a lot of excitement about the music scene in Alice Springs after Central Australian artists cleaned up at the 2013 NT Song of the Year Awards. Now, music industry representatives from across Australia will be heading to Alice for the intune alice springs music conference to support, develop and work with local musicians and the music community.
intune alice springs is a three-day networking, skills development and showcase conference especially tailored to the Central Australian music community. There is a strong focus on outcomes for participants including building new skills and networks, securing future performances and opportunities as well as strengthening and sustaining the local music scene. Participants at intune alice springs will learn about promoting and publicising their music, music law, artist management and self-management, music publishing, royalties and more.
There are great opportunities for local musicians to showcase their skills with the intune alice springs AfterHours Showcase on Friday July 26. The showcase is a chance for musicians to perform in front of panellists from across Australia and the general public. Central Australia musicians are encouraged to apply for a showcase spot and to attend intune alice springs.
