Festival of Voices' One Eye on the Stranger (OEOTS) program gives one participant from each state/territory the chance to team up with "an iconic Australian musician with emerging artists, for the once in a lifetime opportunity to develop their craft and showcase their songs to a national festival audience". OEOTS was previously offered only to Tasmanian based artists, but this year, Festival of Voices is taking the program to a national level, thanks to support from APRA/AMCOS, Australian Music Industry Network, and all state/territory music bodies, including Music Tasmania, Music Victoria, Music NSW, Music SA, WAM, QMusic, and lastly, MusicNT.
It sounds like Kram is pretty excited about the program, too.
"I am really looking forward to working with a new generation of talented emerging songwriters from around Australia. After a successful career in a very challenging industry, it feels really awesome to be invited to assist in encouraging, showcasing and nurturing new talent," he said.
