Phaedra Watts

Phaedra Watts - Nannup Music Festival Director

Phaedra Watts is passionate about music and community- these passions are indulged in her role as Festival Director with the Nannup Music Festival. Part of this position is the Programming of the festival - She feels privileged to work with and strengthen the inclusion and exposure of both Indigenous and Emerging music. ‘Let’s dare to programme more of these incredible performers, the audience will love it’.

Phaedra grew up immersed in music – her parents had music playing constantly, her name came from a song - then it was the streets and bars of Fremantle where she went to school and ‘grew up’. Once music hits the soul there is no going back. She can’t play or sing, but loves and appreciates it dearly.
Phaedra lives in Nannup, as she is definitely a country girl – yet she does pine for the sea. She has worked with Nannup Music Festival for the past 10 years and has grown it into a favourite Australian event – a community event that honours us all.
