April 9-11 at Brownsmart and Happy Yess, Darwin

intune youth returned in 2014 with a huge program of workshops and hands on activities for young Territorians keen to create a career in music. Across three days workshops and live band demonstrations were held to inspire and support young musicians and bands in Darwin The intune conference was held during the City of Darwin’s LAUNCH program for National Youth Week on April 9-11.

This year Melbourne producer Jimi Maroudas (Eskimo Joe, Kimbra and Bertie Blackman), award-winning singer songwriter Leah Flanagan and Central Australian Diva Catherine Satour joined the list of mentors offering workshops and advice to Darwin musicians. 

Congratulations to the six musicians/bands selected to showcase at the Feedback on Five this Friday for intune youth. Ward Hancock Music, Kim Koole Music, Casey Glennon, Far From Lost, Acid City and Skarlett performed their best song for a panel of experts including Leah Flanagan, Matt Bern from 104.1 Territory FM, Richard Margetson from 105.7 ABC Darwin and Anna Stewart from Darwin Railway Club!
